Ringwood & Fordingbridge

Ringwood and Fordinbridge are the two largest towns in the Avon Valley, which runs up the west side of the New Forest up towards Salisbury. The whole area is home to around 28,000 people, including lots of small villages.

We started our work in this area with a clay workshop and nature walk taking advantage of the beautiful local landscape. We will be working on a Telephone Box project in Dammerham, co-creating artworks with young people at Cameron’s Cottage in Hale and partnering with Forest Forge Theatre on performances in Ringwood and further afield.

Great things in Ringwood & Fordingbridge

Ringwood is home to Forest Forge, the New Forest’s 40 year old theatre company. It tours shows to villages hall across New Forest and also has its own theatre venue in Ringwood itself. There’s also the popular Ringwood Brewery, one of the largest in the New Forest.

Fordingbridge is home to the great bridge – 40m stone bridge dating back to the 13th century. There’s also the small but fascinating Fordingbridge Museum, and the Regal Cinema, a 1930s Art Deco building recently reopened and restored to its former glory.
