Ringwood 800 Celebrations

About the event

This year marks 800 years since Ringwood was granted its market charter!

To celebrate this milestone, Culture in Common is teaming up with Ringwood Town Council to produce an all-day community celebration event that will take place on Sunday 12th July in Ringwood Market Place. Join us as we look back on Ringwood’s rich history as a market town and its continuing role at the heart of the community.

We also supported the promotion of Ringwood Town Council’s community glove project, encouraging local people to donate gloves to form part of a large collaborative artwork created by Zest Collective. Celebrating Ringwood’s historic glove-making heritage, we invited contributions from across the community, with the final artwork being unveiled on 12 July.
