Firebird in the New Forest

About the event

This spectacular installation from Walk the Plank, designed by Richard Broderick, will be coming to two special events in the New Forest to warm up your winter. 

This winter, the magnificent firebird will be coming to Hythe Mistletoe Fayre and Totton Lantern event.

The 360’ sculpture uses thermal convection to create movement and even grinds and hisses. These sculptures have been crafted by some of the UK’s best metal sculptors to capture the imagination of people of all ages.

The firebird sits on top of a metallic perch and its sequenced movements see the it swivel its head as its eyes flash electric blue. It flaps its wings as they shoot fire, and its fiery tail rises and falls.

Come along to witness this amazing installation in person and witness the firebird come to life!
