Creative Caminito Argentine Tango Music & Dance Fun Day in West Totton!

We’re thrilled to support one of our Creative Community Commissions, Creative Caminito – an Argentine tango fun day! Come and play in a tango orchestra rehearsal, take a beginners dance class and then listen to some live music with a glass of wine.

This is a one day event designed to give amateur musicians & semi-pros the opportunity to play, dance and listen to Argentine tango music. Tango is a wonderful creative universe that is not well-known in the UK. This event aims to bring music and dance amateurs together to create community and have a fun day in this artistic genre!

Agenda:

10:00 – 15:00 – Argentine Tango Orchestra Rehearsal

The tango orchestra rehearsal . You will learn how to play different pieces and instrumental techniques in tango style.

16:00 – 17:00 – Beginners Dance Class

This is a 1h beginners dance class to show you some of the basic moves and how fun the dance is.

17:30 – 18:30 – Live Music Set with Trio Caminito

The music teachers Mirek Salmon (bandoneon) & Carola Hengstenberg (violin) will be joined by Daryl (guitar) to perform some beautiful tangos during their one hour set.
