Celebrating 200 years of the modern railway in the UK!
2025 marks the 200th anniversary of the modern railway in the UK, celebrated throughout the country with Railway 200. In 1974, Brockenhurst Station in the New Forest was used as the set for the remake of the film ‘Brief Encounter’ staring leading film stars of the time Richard Burton and Sophia Loren. To celebrate this, a screening of the 1974 film will be shown at Brockenhurst Village Hall.
When: 10th October 2025, 6:45pm for a 7:15pm start
