The events of World War II may seem a bit distant to today’s teenagers but for some young people in the New Forest, being close to military action is not so far away. A new Street Art project offers a creative experience for young people from military families at Noadswood School in Dibden Purlieu.
Expert street artists – Mike Ness and his team from MBN Arts in Bournemouth – will work with students in May 2024 to co-create a new mural for their school. Following a session to explore identity and the impact of being part of a military family with all the young people, a smaller team will experiment with design ideas and be taught skills in spray-painting before creating a permanent mural for a wall for their school.
The Street Art Project will occur in Noadswood School, Dibden Purlieu between April and June 2024. Stay tuned for more updates!
