Totton Lantern Parade

Did you come along to the Totton Lantern Parade 2022?

Our street surveys showed this festival community event is one of the most popular in the New Forest. Everyone was delighted to see it return after a two year break due to Covid.

We were excited to run a series of creative workshops throughout December 2022 that brought the Totton & Eling community together. We made a selection of amazing 3-metre-high lanterns and individual lanterns to be part of the procession.

The parade, held on Sunday 4 December, set off from the War Memorial car park on Salisbury Road and made its way down Commercial Road where it met up with Testwood Baptist Church for carols before culminating in a Christmas lights switch on and fair.

Visit Totton Lantern Parade’s Facebook page for more photos and info on their fundraising appeal for next year’s parade. Thanks to Julie Motherwell and the organising team for everything they do to make this magical event happen.
