Roshni – Kathak dance and live music
About the event
7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
From the Persian word meaning light or brilliance, Roshni is an uplifting evening of Kathak dance and live music, full of rhythm, storytelling and joy.
Internationally acclaimed artists Sonia Sabri and Sarvar Sabri bring together Kathak’s dazzling footwork and expressive movement with live music, soulful vocals and the exhilarating rhythms of tabla percussion.
Inspired by musical traditions from South Asia, the Middle East and Europe, the performance is a welcoming introduction to Kathak as well as a treat for those who already know it.
