What an incredible few days we had at the New Forest Show! A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our tent and joined in with the wide range of creative activities, we loved seeing so many smiling faces and people of all ages getting involved.
Over 600 visitors came through our space across the three days, taking part in everything from drumming with African Activities, to summer wreath making with Heidi Steller from Coda Music & Arts Trust, and flower crafting with St Barbe Museum & Gallery in celebration of project 200, creating beautiful paper flowers for their train station installation. Visitors sat on Fluid Motion’s custom sound boxes, listening to poems co-created at last year’s Community Engagement Sessions. We were also treated to live music performances from Hanger Farm, which had everyone dancing and singing along!
It was wonderful seeing people of all ages getting stuck in, many trying something new for the first time. It was a great example of what Culture in Common is all about: making creativity and culture more accessible and connecting people through shared experiences.
