On Wednesday 24th September, we were proud to host a Creative Health Workshop that brought together artists and healthcare professionals from across the South East to explore the evolving landscape of creative health and the growing body of evidence which prove its positive impact on wellbeing.
We were honoured to welcome Dr Rebecca Gordon-Nesbitt as our keynote speaker, who delivered a powerful talk on the vital role creativity plays in supporting health and wellbeing.
We also heard from an inspiring line-up of speakers, such as: Megan Saunders – Senior Public Health Practitioner at Hampshire County Council, Esther Watts – Director at The Hera Project, a charity championing creativity and connection at the heart of health and Sam Jenkins – Social Prescriber, sharing frontline insights into community-based care.
‘Thanks for organising such a brilliant learning event. It was so useful for my practice to make connections with the wider arts community too.’ – Comment from Attendee
New creative health project ideas flowed in the discussion sessions and to top it off, we enjoyed a hands-on creative session led by the wonderful Maisie Jones, from The Touring Potter.
‘Thank you very much for the workshop yesterday. Excellent speakers and networking, wonderful hosting and food and of course pottery! I made several new connections and also reconnected with several others’ – Comment from Attendee
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on the day and contributed to such a meaningful day. Let’s continue to keep the conversation going and continue to champion creativity in health.
